About GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu (Glycyl-Histidyl-Lysine bound to copper(II)) is a tripeptide-copper complex naturally present in human plasma, with concentrations declining markedly with age. Its high affinity for copper enables it to act as a physiological carrier of this catalytic metal into cells, where it modulates over 4,000 human genes according to published transcriptomic studies. Researchers use GHK-Cu in models of dermal regeneration, hair-follicle biology, antioxidant signaling and extracellular matrix remodeling — including collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Each 50 mg vial is supplied as a stable lyophilizate with a documented copper content and ≥99% HPLC purity.
Mechanism of action
Delivers Cu(II) to intracellular targets and modulates gene expression linked to tissue remodeling, antioxidant defense and DNA repair.
