About Melanotan-I
Melanotan-I (MT-I), also known as afamelanotide, is a synthetic 13-amino-acid linear analog of α-MSH with strong selectivity for the MC1R melanocortin receptor. Compared to MT-II, its linear structure offers a more favorable receptor profile for pigmentation research without the marked central activity associated with MC3R/MC4R. Each 10 mg vial is synthesized by solid-phase peptide synthesis, purified to ≥99% HPLC, lyophilized under inert atmosphere and shipped with a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis.
