About ARA-290
ARA-290 — also known as Cibinetide — is an 11-amino-acid peptide engineered from the B-helix of erythropoietin. By isolating the cytoprotective face of the EPO molecule, researchers obtained a ligand that binds the innate repair receptor (a heteromer of EPO-R and the common beta-chain CD131) without triggering classical erythropoiesis. This design has made ARA-290 a key tool for studying tissue protection in models of neuropathic pain, diabetic neuropathy, sarcoidosis and ischemia-reperfusion injury. Each vial contains lyophilized peptide at ≥99% HPLC purity, manufactured under cGMP-aligned protocols and validated by mass spectrometry. Stored at −20°C, the lyophilizate remains stable for extended research timelines.
